The National Bison Association holds conferences periodically to celebrate the bison community. The events are designed to be fun-filled opportunities to gather and network with your fellow bison enthusiast while learning a thing or two.
2013 NBA Summer Conference - Register Online Here by June 7th!

The NBA, in conjunction with the Dakota Territories Buffalo Association, is pleased to announce the 2013 Summer Conference will take place in the Black Hills of South Dakota in the Deadwood/Spearfish area. Be sure to mark what is sure to be an epic event and join us for bison history tours, ranch tours, and all out great times with your fellow buffalo enthusiasts. Details forthcoming.
Wednesday: Wednesday will be spent in and around the host hotel, the Deadwood Mountain Grand and will be filled with educational presentations and a chance for attendees to take in the beauty and fun of Deadwood! We'll also have our NBA membership meeting that morning. The evening will host our bi-annual Fun Auction and banquet dinner with lots of entertainment and surprises planned. We'll also head over to Spearfish for an exclusive, private screening of The Buffalo King documenrary, about SD native Scotty Philips important role in restoring the buffalo, with the director!
Thursday: Thursday will be spent in and around Deadwood, taking in some of the rich buffalo-themed attractions the area offers. This includes the Vore Buffalo Jump, in which attendees will get a first hand tour of the acclaimed buffalo jump with presentations from local experts on the history and signifigance of the site. We'll also visit Tatanka - The Story of the Bison, which further tells the bison's story in the Black Hills. We will end the day with a buffalo BBQ and campfire evening at the historic Frawley Ranch.
Friday: Cammack Buffalo Ranch; Stoneville, SD - Join us for the "Ranch Day" portion of the conference at the beautiful Cammack Buffalo Ranch, located about an hour east of Deadwood. The Cammack family are excited to show off their buffalo herds and the ranch that showcases the wide open prairies of western South Dakota. They also serve as the host ranch for the DTBA Girlz Gone Wild Bred Heifer Challenge, providing conference goers an opportunity to see that group of animals in the early stages of the contest.

Overflow lodging is available at the following hotels, which are all walking distance from the host hotel in downtown Deadwood, and will honor the group rate of $110/night when you mention the NBA Summer Conference. Camping Options: For those wanting to camp, we have RV options too. The NBA has secured a discount for campers wanting to stay at the Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort (http://www.elkhornridgervresort.com/) near Spearfish, S.D. It is just a short drive from Deadwood and even features a neighboring buffalo herd. Spots are $51.27/night, with tax, and includes pull through camp spot, full hookups, heated swimming pools, WiFi, and more. They also have cabins for rent.
